Inspired by the universality of computation, we advocate for a principle spacetime complexity, where gravity arises as consequence optimizing computational cost its own quantum dynamics. This is explicitly realized in context Anti-de Sitter/Conformal Field Theory correspondence, complexity naturally understood terms state preparation via Euclidean path integrals, and Einstein’s equations emerge from laws complexity. We visualize using Lorentzian threads which, conceptually, represent operations needed to prepare tensor network discretizing spacetime. Thus, itself evolves optimized computation.
